goal
Our mission is simple: break down barriers to sports and social support for every child, regardless of their background or abilities. By running 10 marathons in 10 days in 10 provinces, we aim to raise $1 million to support programs that empower youth through mentorship, inclusion, and community.
Empowering Every Child, One Step at a Time.
Not all children have access to the life-changing benefits of sports and community support. With your help, we’re fundraising to provide crucial resources to three organizations that make a direct impact on kids’ lives. Choose where your dollars go:
Autism Aspergers Friendship Society
The Autism Aspergers Friendship Society (AAFS) offers a sense of community and inclusion for children with autism, helping them develop friendships and social skills in a safe, supportive environment.
KidSport
KidSport provides financial assistance for sports registrations and equipment, ensuring all kids, regardless of economic background, have the chance to experience organized sports.
Big Brothers Big Sisters
Big Brothers Big Sisters pairs youth with caring mentors to help build confidence, set goals, and foster positive relationships, especially for children facing adversity.

Mike
Hanson
A part of the Autism Community for 12+ years. Committed to matching donations up to $150,000.

Mike
Hanson

Mike Hanson, a lifelong athlete from Stettler, Alberta, had his world transformed in 2012 when his twin boys were diagnosed with autism. This experience shifted his perspective, making him acutely aware of the challenges many families face in accessing resources. Determined to help others, Mike began fundraising, with his first marathon raising $61,000 in 2017. Alongside his wife Andrea, Mike has committed to matching donations up to $150,000 for this campaign.
Running has become both an outlet and a mission for Mike, symbolizing resilience and community support. Through the 10in10in10 challenge, he aims to raise awareness and funds to break down barriers for children, inspiring others to give back and create positive change in their communities.

Dave Morin
Volunteered with Big Brothers Big Sisters for 8+ years.

Dave Morin

Dave Morin’s passion for sports and mentorship began in his hometown of Calgary, Alberta. From 2011 to 2019, Dave volunteered with Big Brothers Big Sisters, forming a lasting bond with mentees from elementary school to high school. This experience showed him the powerful impact of mentorship on a young person’s confidence and future.
As a runner, Dave has completed 53 marathons, including 10 ultra-marathons, driven by the discipline and patience that both running and life’s challenges require. Most of these were “DIY marathons,” reflecting his dedication to personal growth rather than competition. Through the 10in10in10 challenge, Dave hopes to inspire others to support youth empowerment across Canada and create lasting change.
